Released on time to celebrate International Women’s Day 2019 this March 8, this story showcases a IUPAC program set to recognize the contributions that women have made in the field of chemistry and chemical engineering. 58 women have so far received this award. This year, in time to celebrate the International Day of Women and Girls in Science this past February 11, IUPAC announced the 2019 awardees and also released a special issue of its journal Pure and Applied Chemistry (Feb 2019) featuring contributions of former awardees. The 2019 awards will be presented at the IUPAC Congress in Paris, this coming July.
