2020 Green Chemistry for Life research grants for young scientists

The call for applications for the 2020 Green Chemistry research grants for young scientists, including the special grant for research projects on phosphogypsum, is open until 31 January 2021.

The PhosAgro/UNESCO/IUPAC Partnership in Green Chemistry for Life aims to promote the implementation of innovative research projects in green chemistry by young scientists that respect the 12 principles of green chemistry. Young scientists aged with a PhD degree (or equivalent) in chemistry or its allied areas are invited to compete; the age limit is 39. Successful projects will be selected by an international scientific jury. Grants will be up to US$30,000 and should be awarded for research that may be completed in one year. Young scientists are invited to submit their applications for PhosAgro/UNESCO/IUPAC grants in green chemistry.

The deadline for submission of applications for this seventh round of applications is 31 January 2021. The next round of applications will also be announced on this website.

Green Chemistry special grants for research projects on phosphogypsum
This special call for applications is opened by PhosAgro, UNESCO and IUPAC in response to societal and environmental needs. This special grant will be awarded to a project in green chemistry, by a young scientists, focusing on innovations in the processing and utilization of phosphogypsum, a mineral technogenic waste material produced in great quantities. The age limit is 39.
